Organizing for your guided reading groups

If you are working with guided reading groups in a classroom or tutorial environment, being well organized makes each session go more smoothly and allows your teaching to be more effective.
 
The video below shows one teacher’s preparations for her guided reading lessons. You can alter your organization based on your needs, but I thought this was a great example. I really like the way the seats are set up as well, in a circular pattern. She doesn’t mention it, but it really allows for all students to be a part of the discussions and allows teachers to keep their reading students focused on them and the book in front of them.
